Partying at Dash Point

Since last Saturday was extremely hot then after going camping Nikki and I decided to spend rest of the afternoon at Dash Point State Park. It seems like about half of Federal Way had that same idea. Not only were there a ton of people at the beach, but it was at high tide making it even more crowded. Despite how crowded it was it was still a great place to be able to soak up the sun. Sometimes it is even more fun when there are a lot of people because you end up running into people you know and also getting to just sit around and watch people. It's amazing how many people that should not be wearing bikini's were wearing bikini's...anyways....After sitting on our towels for awhile we decided that we wanted to get away from the heat and the crowd for awhile (although we could have gone into the water to do that, high tide also means a lot of gross seaweed at the shoreline). We decided to hike up the "famous dirt hill". I had never climbed up this hill and figured that it is something that everyone has to do once in there life. Me and Nikki struggled are way up the hill until we finally made it to the top (We sort of felt dumb that it took us so long when a lady probably 3 times older then us climbed up the hill in a quarter of the time...oh well..we were tired from camping I guess). After getting to the top and climbing into this cool little cave..the only thing left to do was slide down the dirty hill back down to the beach. I ended up getting pretty dirty from sliding/ slipping down the dirt hill..but oh well..good times.
